March 14 is our annual Faith Rally: Become the Saint God Made You To Be!

We need several parent volunteers at different shifts to make the day run smoothly, please sign up if you can:

The day begins with Mass and House activities, followed by Adoration, lunch, and recess.  This year 7th and 8th graders will work with students from Nativity and the acclaimed “Rise Against Hunger” organization to create meals for those in need, while K-6 will participate in a saint-themed carnival.  The day concludes with a rockin’ concert featuring the band “The Bad Boys of Worship.”  Students should wear the shirt color of their household as posted in the classrooms. They have these three options for bottoms: uniform bottom, uniform-length shorts, or blue jeans.  Regular tennis shoes.  SVDP spirit socks provided! Please bring a bag lunch. It’s going to be a great day!

Help needed with Accelerated Reader Exchange Next Week!

Students in grades 1st-8th grade will be awarded for their participation in the Accelerated Reader Program for the 2nd trimester.  Ice cream sundaes will be given during lunch time on Monday, March 11th to students who met their trimester AR goal.  Students who exceeded their goal by 10 or more points will be invited to spin a prize wheel on Thursday, March 7th.  Help is needed, in 1-hour increments, from 8:15-1:00, to make this happen!   Please take a moment to sign up and email stephaniecarreira@Yahoo.com if you have any questions.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050f4aaaa72ca31-accelerated

Parent Bible Study (From Father Doug Grandon)

“My two new Bible Studies are off to a great start!  Both groups are reading the Gospel of Luke and discussing one chapter each week during our hour together. I will be away for a couple of weeks on a FOCUS Mission to Albania, during which time the groups will not meet.  The Monday 1:45-2:45pm group will resume on March 18 (discussing Luke 6).  The Tuesday 7:10-8:10am group will resume meeting on March 19 (discussing Luke 4).

While I’ve limited the number in each group to 12, we still have a few openings in each group.  I’d like to invite anyone interested in checking out the Bible studies to join us when we resume on March 18 or 19.  You could read the appropriate Gospel ahead of time, bring whatever questions or comments you have – or just watch what we do.   If you enjoy it, you’re more than welcome to return.  We meet in the Garden Room across the street from the school.  No Bible study experience necessary!”

Thank you thank you for all of the wonderful donations you all turned in last Friday.  If there is anything that is still lingering, please contact Julie or Courtney ASAP!

We are in search of a photographer for the gala.  Does anyone have a contact of someone who might be willing to donate their time to take photos that evening?  If so, please let us know!

Need a hat for the gala or maybe even a dress… look no further!  Come join us at Wish Boutique on Gaylord Street on Tuesday, April 16th for a shopping party.  The boutique will donate 10% of the sales back to SVdP and will provide wine and treat, so please RSVP to Julie if you’d like to attend:
