Our History

St. Vincent de Paul School opened its doors in September 1927 with just 45 students and four grades, guided by two dedicated teachers from the Sisters of Loretto. For over 50 years, the Sisters of Loretto led the school, nurturing its growth and shaping its early years.
In 1986, the Sisters of Saint Joseph stepped in for a 10-year interim period, continuing the mission of Catholic education at SVDP. In 1996, at the request of Cardinal Stafford, the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia from Nashville, Tennessee, brought their Dominican charism to the school and have served as its leaders ever since.
Today, SVDP is blessed to have three Dominican Sisters leading the way, including Sister Marie Isaac, who serves as our Principal. The school now serves more than 400 students, offering a faith-filled education for children from preschool through 8th grade.
