EduKit Information for 2021-2022 School Year

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School offers the EduKit program as a convenient option for busy families to order school supplies. EduKits include supplies approved by the school.   If you place your order by June 11, 2021, the shipping is free and the student’s order will be placed in the classroom by the first day of school. Extended ordering is available from June 12th – August 3rd for an additional shipping fee and the kit will be delivered to your home shortly before school begins.

You can also go to EduKitinc.com and search St. Vincent de Paul School.

Supply list information is also available on the school website at www.svdpk8.com in the Parent Resources section.

EduKit questions may be directed to Shannon Novak by emailing denverskymuffin@aol.com or calling (303) 482-6482.

Open Forum – Bishop Machebeuf High School

This is specifically directed toward families with rising middle school families, but may be of wider interest.

As you may know, BishopMachebeuf High School is our nearest Archdiocesan Catholic High School, and has recently changed leadership.  Our Dominican Sisters have taught at BishopMachebeuf for nearly 20 years, and we love being part of the school.  Superintendent Elias Moo and BMHS President Dr. Tony Bonta would like to host an open forum at St. Vincent de Paul School for our families.  If you are interested in learning more about this high school, its current and recent change in leadership and its plan for the future, please use the link to let us know of your interest.

Field Day Volunteers

Parents – if you are interested in helping with field day in June 1, please complete this form. Duties include general supervision of outdoor areas, and helping student leaders at stations when needed. We’d love to have you involved if you would like to join us for this special end of year event.

Yard Signs Available

Are you super proud that St. Vincent’s has been IN school since August 2020?   Pick up your SVDP yard sign and show the love! Yard signs and stakes are in the entryway available for you to pick-up during school hours.

Field Day Attire

Field day for K-7 happens on June 1, a half day.  Students may dress out of uniform preferably in shorts and t-shirt and tennis shoes.  Flip flops and sandals are not permitted.

Home and School

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: For Accelerated Reader Exchange, students in grades 1st-8th will be awarded for their participation in the Accelerated Reader Program for the 3rd trimester. Ice cream sandwiches will be given during lunch time on Thursday, May 27th to students who met or exceeded their trimester AR goal. To volunteer, please take a moment to sign up here.

SUMMER EVENTS AT THE PARISH: A family favorite and trying out a new tradition…. donut Sundays are back after the 9:30am Sunday Mass starting May 23rd. And we’re bringing in food trucks once a month this summer, starting May 21st from 5-7:30pm! Both activities will be held in the circle drive.

SUMMER SOLUTIONS NOTE: A certified math tutor and SVdP mom, Julie Buckley, helped provide some clarity on which math books to order for summer work. Julie recommends ordering the “regular” versions rather than the “standards” version. As for what level to order: if you’re looking to keep their skills sharp, then order the student’s current-grade math book. If your child can use an extra challenge or wants to get ahead, many children can handle the next grade book. It’s completely up to each family.

Gala In the Garden 2.0 and Golf on the Greens

THANK YOU!  This year’s gala was an amazing celebration of this community!  We are so thankful for everyone who joined us in person or virtually and supported the school with your time and generosity.  We are working to compile the final fundraising numbers and look for an update from Sister soon.

PHOTOS! Even our wonderful photographer, Xenia Photography (who shoots family photos too by the way), was raving about how amazing everyone looked at the gardens!  Take a moment to enjoy and download some photos from the event here:
