Gala In the Garden 2.0 and Golf on the Greens

Volunteer meeting update! We are moving the volunteer meeting this month to Wednesday, February 24th at 7pm via zoom. We will be brainstorming the live auction packages and look forward to your ideas! Keep an eye out for an updated invite from gala chair Melissa Regan.

Plan a class or adult party to auction at the gala! Hosting a party is a great way to come together as a community (when it’s safe!) and raise money for our school. For all the details, check out this short video featuring our party co-chair Lauren Josephson.

Ready to host, but need an idea? Click here for some great party ideas! When you are ready to host, please use the new online party donation form

Please note that the deadline to submit all details via the online Party Donation form is March 1, 2021. Questions? Please contact Party co-chairs Aly Tonkin (aly.tonkin@gmail.com) and Lauren Josephson (lologott@gmail.com) with any questions.

Thank you to the families and businesses that committed as sponsors for The Garden to the Greens in 2020! There is still time to sponsor the Gala, the Greens, or both! To become a sponsor, complete this form. For additional questions, please contact Melissa Regan or 410.336.7097.

Basketball Fees

Basketball fees have been billed this week by way of FACTS Incidental Billing. The fee is $85.00 per student. Parents of students who participated will receive an email from FACTS. You may link from the email to your account to authorized a withdrawal. Please contact Dave Strawbridge if there are any participant discrepancies. Thank you.

Spring Sports

Spring Sports are upon us and the league will be offering Volleyball and Baseball for varsity players (7/8 grades only).  Spring sign ups will be open March 1st and will close March 8th. Like basketball there will be no late signups!

The regular season will start April 12th and will end May 1st. At this time the athletic directors will be creating the schedule so for all club players.  The tournament will start the week after the last day of the regular season. The season is to be only 6 games as we only have a 3-week season.

Tryouts: The school will host tryouts only if the number of interested athletes requires more than one team per age group per sport. There can be up to 12 athletes per team. Please hold 3/11/21 as a tryout date if needed from 3:15-4:45 pm.

Following are the three anticipated levels: 8th grade 7th/8th grade 7th grade

Information about parent attendance in the gym for practices and games is forthcoming from the league.

Coaches – Similar to the basketball season, only parents of athletes on the team will coach, eliminating the need for outsiders in the gym.

Masks for coaches and players at practice and games are required. Any questions, reach out to David Strawbridge at sports@svdpk8.com
