Lenten Diaper Drive Success!

This week, 7th graders delivered 18,102 diapers, plus lots of baby wipes to Catholic Charities’ Marisol Services.  They learned firsthand from a Marisol employee how important these diaper donations are to their ministry and ultimately, to the many women and babies in need.  The 7th graders and Catholic Charities are grateful to our SVdP school and parish community for the outpouring of generosity, compassion, and love during our 2022 Lenten Diaper Drive.  The needs are ongoing, so please feel free to donate to a Marisol Services location throughout the year.

Community and Fellowship

Following the 9:30am mass, Coffee and Donuts are here to stay all year long but we need your help!  Look for more information on how your family can host this. Areas of need are set up, socializing, and clean up — it’s that simple!

SVdP Sandwich Program

The SVdP parish is thrilled to restart the SVdP Sandwich Program to help feed the hungry in our community. Once a month after Sunday Mass, parishioners gather in the cafeteria to make over 400 sandwiches. The sandwiches are delivered to the Cathedral, where their staff pass them out to those in need. Before we can relaunch the program though, we are looking for a few families to rotate the duties of setup/breakdown on the days of the Sandwich Program. The specific days/Mass times are still being worked through, so if you’re interested and have a Mass preference, please let us know. The duties are pretty simple. On the day you are assigned, you should expect to arrive 30 minutes before Mass to set up tables and food prep stations. After Mass, you will help make sandwiches with the other parishioners. Then after the program concludes, you’ll help with breakdown and cleanup.  If you’re interested in learning more about the program, please email Marisa Baldassano at m_baldassano@yahoo.com. The program ran for many years before COVID and parishioners found doing service work together very rewarding.  We hope you will too!
