For all of us who are so grateful that parents can choose Catholic education for their children in this country, it is important to know and understand some of the forces working against this freedom and this natural right of parents.  You are encouraged to watch this edify video to learn about the Blaine Amendment which is one of the factors that threatens the freedom parents have to choose Catholic education — check out this video for a more thorough explanation.

Scout Mass honoring Andrew Watson

We would like to invite the SVDP community to the Denver Catholic Committee on Scouting Annual Scout Mass. After Mass there will be adult and youth religious award recognition.  Scout leader Andrew Watson will be awarded a very special medal. Please join us as we support Aoife and her family during this special ceremony.

When: Saturday, April 30, 2022

Where: St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 W 58th Ave, Arvada

Final call for Tuition Assistance Applications

The deadline to apply for ACE/Schmitz and/or the SVdP Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is April 30th. Please use the links below to review the information on the SVdP website, as well as links to the applications. If you apply for ACE/Schmitz, we also ask that you complete the SVdP TAP application.

If after reviewing the income guidelines for ACE/Schmitz your family does not qualify, you may still apply for SVdP TAP consideration. Please complete the TAP application. There will be a section that allows you to enter information in support of your request.

Part-time accounting position open

Summer Art Camp with Mrs. Thomason

This year, Summer Art Camp will run from June 6-10, 2022. Students will learn a variety of art techniques during art camp and have completed artwork to bring home.

Session 1 Ages 6-9: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Session 2 Ages 10-14: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

$200 per student includes camp and art supplies. Additional student family discount $150 per additional student. Space is limited to 18 students per session. Email Mrs. Thomason if there are financial difficulties and she will work with you.

Classes will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School art room. Meet at the front door for drop off and pick up. Please be prompt. Bring a snack and a water bottle to camp. Please fill out the form to register: https://www.thomasonarts.com/art/life. SVDP New Parishioner Dinner

We love adding people to our St. Vincent’s family! If

you are new to St. Vincent’s – welcome! We are so glad

you’re here. We will be having a new parishioner

dinner April 23rd at 6:00pm in the Cafeteria. If you’ve

registered as a parishioner in the last few months,

you’ll be receiving an email invitation soon. If you

haven’t registered yet, we invite you to scan the QR

please do join Fr. Hilton, SVdP staff, and other new

families on April 23rd for a casual meal (and please

bring the kiddos!)

2022 Catholic Schools Art Show

Congratulations to the student artwork selected for the 2022 Catholic Schools Art Show. The art show will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic School Friday, April 29 – Sunday May 1, 2022. Schedule: Friday, April 29 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Opening Reception includes food trucks and face painting. Saturday, April 30 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm open house. Sunday, May 1 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm open house. Below are the SVdP selections:

DU P.A.S.S. Camp

Pioneer Athletic Super Summer (P.A.S.S.) Camp is a weekly sports and wellness summer camp for campers ages 5–11. It focuses on sportsmanship, teamwork, and the fundamentals of sports. Campers will have the opportunity to experience the NCAA Division I varsity fields, courts and rinks that the Denver Pioneers call home. For more information and registration, check out this link!

Denim & Dancing at SVdP Parish – April 22nd!

Please join us at a St. Vincent de Paul Parish event for the whole family on Friday April 22nd! Denim and Dancing is a fun-filled night with professional country line dancing lessons from the Grizzly Rose. This event will teach attendees two different line dances that anyone can do! Get the kids dressed up in their Denim Day shirts and let’s break in our boots before the gala!

Event Schedule:

Doors open at 5:30PM

1st Dance Lesson- 6-6:45PM

2nd Dance Lesson- 7-7:45PM

Dance lessons will be held in the SVdP gym. Corn hole boards will be set up outside and food trucks will be available. Beverages will be provided for adults and kids.
