A note from Sister Marie Isaac, OP

We’ve made it to Spring break! It’s hard to believe that we are now in the last third of the school year. I hope you have a peaceful break. We’ll see everyone back on Monday, March 20.

Today our teachers took part in a professional development session on Universal Design for Learning and Differentiation. Our classroom and specials teachers joined together to hear presentations and discuss the variability of our students’ abilities and learning styles. They also viewed examples of how teachers planned lessons to address the learning needs of their students  and discussed how they can apply these strategies in their classrooms. The better we know our students, the better we can guide their learning.

Know of my prayers for you and your families.

The school – wide Diaper Drive to benefit Catholic Charities is in full swing!  As of this week, the 7th graders have counted approximately 4,000 diapers, with a goal of at least 20,000 by Easter.  With Spring Break, the timeline is compressed for meeting this goal.  The greatest need is for sizes 3,4,5, and 6.  Please add a box of diapers to your grocery or Costco list.  7th graders are collecting them during car lines and there are collection boxes in the church and school lobby.  Thank you for your support!
