Staffing Updating

Some additional staff changes happened recently:

Mr. Christensen will not be returning next year to teach Physical Education. We are so grateful for his service during the past four years. Our children have had the opportunity to grow in their physical fitness, sportsmanship and team playing under his guidance. Mr. Christensen enjoyed his time at SVdP and will miss interacting with our students and families. We send him off with grateful prayers. In relation to this, Mrs. McGillicuddy will be shifting to teach Physical Education next year. This will create an opening in our 4th grade homeroom.

Additionally, Miss Blakley will be moving on next year. She has taught Theology of the Body lessons to our students this year and coordinated the chicken coop and outdoor lab. She has loved her time here and promises us her prayers. All of us wish her the best! Miss Blakley will still be taking care of the chickens this summer and you’ll see a Chicken Chores sign-up from her.

Tuition 22/23

A sincere thank you to all of our school families who are wonderfully responsible for their students’ tuition. The vast majority have paid in full as of today. Enjoy the summer season!

Tuition 23/24

Confirmation of the 23/24 tuition payment schedules will be sent to families via a FACTS email in late June and early July. Please review your student’s information to be sure that it is complete and grade levels and tuition amounts are correct. Please send any questions or communication to Joyce Haberkorn at (jhaberkorn@svdpk8.com.). Emails are checked very frequently. If a change in a withdrawal date is needed, the change must be requested via email to Joyce at least 4 business days prior to the withdrawal date.

Please make sure that your email has been set up to allow FACTS Management communication to reach your inbox.

If you applied for tuition assistance, you will receive notification via email from the various scholarship sources (ACE/Schmitz and Seeds of Hope.) Scholarship amounts will also be reflected in the email you will receive from FACTS.

Summer Chicken Chores

Chicken chores are back! Our chicks are steadily growing and will be making their way to the coop soon! We are looking for families to volunteer over the summer to come take care of the chickens (both weekdays and weekends). Please sign-up here for a date that works for your family. Thank you so much for your help! Contact Miss Blakley with any questions at hblakley@svdpk8.com. God bless you!

Save the Date – Used Uniform Sale – August 12th

Mark your calendars! The fall used uniform sale will be held Saturday, August 12 from 10:00am-12:00pm in the school lobby.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kim Abbate at Kim.Abbate@outlook.com.

How does the Used Uniform Sale work?

  • Parents can either donate or sell SVdP uniforms two times each year at our fall and spring uniform sale

To Donate:

  • Drop off during school hours to the Front Office any clean uniforms in good condition at SVdP’s Front Desk marked “Donation” and you’re done! Proceeds from donated items, go back to SVdP School.

To Sell:

  • Please pin an envelope or baggie to each item with:

  • your last name

  • item type

  • All shirts & shorts are sold for $5; all pants, plaids and sweatshirts sell for $10.

  • The items can be dropped off at the front desk during normal business hours.

  • If your items are sold during a sale, you will receive your proceeds. If items don’t sell, SVdP stores the uniforms in bins and you’ve got another chance at the next sale.  However, once your children are no longer attending the school, the clothing is considered a donation to SVdP.

Home and School

It’s EDUKIT Time!

Can you believe that the school year is almost over and we’re already thinking of next year?!?! Well, we are and that means that it’s Edukit time!! The items in the Edukits have been hand picked by your child’s teacher so, once you place order you won’t have to worry about school supplies come August. That means more time by the pool!! The cherry on top is that if you order between now and 6/28 the Edukit will be delivered right to SVdP and you can check off a trip to Target on your “ Back to School” to do list!! If your child still wants to purchase their own fun, flashy folders or another special item that they have to have they are welcome to do so. However, items in the Edukit cannot be replaced and they come as the teachers have requested.  So, avoid the back to school madness and running from store to store looking for a Mead 3 ring binder with built in shoulder straps that convert into a one man tent with laser beams and order your Edukit today!

Here is the link for ordering (Vincent De Paul Catholic School Denver, CO) this is also a school fundraiser and SVdP earns money back for every kit purchased! If you place your order AFTER 6/28 the Edukit will be sent to your home.

If you choose to shop directly for school supplies, click here for the school supplies list for the 2023-2024.

Coffee & Donuts is Back!

Join the SVdP Parish in the circle drive every Sunday after the 9:30 mass for community, conversation and, of course, donuts!  This event is not possible without volunteers. Will your family consider helping with setup and breakdown?   Find all the information you need by clicking this signup link.
