Gala News – 2024 Gala – Mission Brief
Mission Sponsorship
Are you interested in sponsoring this year’s Mission Possible Gala? This year’s sponsorship materials are out and we are excited to offer a wide range of sponsorship levels and opportunities to be involved. Sponsors are critical to the gala’s success, and we are so grateful for our community’s generosity and involvement.
Auction Asks
Does your family have access to anything special – even if you don’t think it’s that special? This could be a family vacation home, sporting event tickets, connections to concert venues, singers, athletes, etc. We are always looking for additional auction items that can be packaged with the current packages building within our classes, or that can stand alone as live or silent auction items.
Please feel free to email those ideas or items to svdpgala2024@gmail.com – no item or idea is too big, too small or too out there!
It’s Party Time!
Gala parties are a wonderful tradition at St. Vincent de Paul that help build the bonds of our community and are an excellent source of fundraising. Hosted “Parties” are social fundraising events hosted by an SVdP family or group of families who share in the cost of putting together their event. Paid admission is open to the school community and all proceeds go to SVdP. Our goal is to have 2-4 parties, per grade available for purchase at the Gala silent auction.
Have a great idea for a kid or adult party? Submit your intent to host a party here!
SVdP Beanies
We have a limited quantity of the SVDP Mission Possible Beanies left. If you are interested in purchasing one for $25, do so here.

Executive Function Workshop
Does your child struggle to get ready on time for school in the morning? Does your kiddo often forget important items at school or home? Do you feel as though you are constantly reminding your child of upcoming events, activities, and/or expectations that you have already gone over with them? Have you become increasingly frustrated by the amount of support your child needs with homework and chores? YOU ARE NOT ALONE! These situations are all related to challenges with executive functioning. Please join two SVdP parents, Carrie Schmitt (occupational therapist) and Cristina Porter (school psychologist), in an introductory parent training on executive functioning – what it is, how it impacts you and your child(ren)’s daily lives, and some tips on how to help! Click here to RSVP or email info@svdpk.com.

Let’s bring back SVdP Supper Club!
Supper clubs can be a great way to bring people together over good food and conversation. Whether it’s a casual gathering or a more formal affair, the key is creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Building a community through supper club is a fantastic way to foster friendships and create a sense of connection. The idea is for this to be an adult only evening. Please sign up below if you would like to host OR attend a SVdP supper club this spring! The date is set for March 15th. The volunteer host parent(s) will ultimately decide on a supper theme adding a personal touch and variety to the supper. The host may also decide to have each attendee contribute to the meal by bringing a side, dessert, appetizer, etc…
For a more casual and spontaneous approach, attendees will be randomly assigned to host houses. This can lead to unexpected connections and adds an element of surprise to each supper club! We hope you can attend SVdP supper club in March but also hope to continue supper club into each season. Any questions can be directed to Chrissy Musgrove. chrissylmusgrove@gmail.com Sign up here.
