CSAL Registration Please sign up no later than Monday 9/5 so we can complete registration for SLAVENS on Friday 9/9 http://www.csalden.org/Registration/Default.asp?n=&org=csalden.org&cat=St+Vincent+de+Paul Registration if very important to get new families signed up in Team Snap!
Head Coach – Ken Cilia 303-875-8128 kgcilia@gmail.com Assistant Coach – Carla Lane Admin Support – Mary Stowell We still need more help! Please contact Ken to volunteer. CC is a brief season with only 10 practices and 5 meets in Sept and Oct.
Practices Practices will start at 3PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays (allowing for students to change after dismissal) Runs will begin at 3:15PM and end at 4:00PM Team Snap will have all practice and team information.
Volunteer Help We can not do this without parent help and support to keep our runners safe. Keeping CC open to all runners requires volunteers to allow for a wide range of abilities. Each practice requires bikers, joggers, and walkers as our kids will spread out. Bikes help keep kids together and navigate traffic. Runners and Joggers help provide directions and traffic control and walkers help with kids who might have an injury or just not up for running that day. Our runners are on neighborhood streets and most drivers are patient and understanding– it is very important to have parents around to assist with intersections, and crossing major streets. All scheduling and volunteer sign up will be VIA TEAM SNAP we will not use sign up genius. If a slot is filled – no worries we can use your help anyway.

Evidence Based Parenting Speaker – Dr. Leonard Sax – Sept 15th
For those of you who missed hearing Dr. Leonard Sax speak at Our Lady of Lourdes last fall, he is back in the Denver area! Dr. Sax will be giving a talk similar to the one last fall entitled “Evidence Based Parenting” at Nativity of our Lord at 7pm on Thursday, 9/15.
Since 2001, Dr. Sax has visited and worked with more than 460 schools, universities, juvenile justice facilities, communities of faith, corporations, pre-Ks and nursery schools, community groups and parent groups, learning from them and sharing what I have learned. That work, combined with his 30+ years as both a physician (M.D.) and as a Ph.D. psychologist, has allowed him a unique perspective on the challenges facing young people today, and what girls and boys need to fulfill their potential. Dr. Sax is the author of several books- “The Collapse of Parenting”, “Girls on the Edge”, “Boys Adrift” and “Why Gender Matters”.
Save the Date – October 17, 2022 – “Parenting the Plugged-In Child” – Dr. Lana Gollyhorn
